Friends of McCreery Park is a Non-Binding, Non-Governmental Body, (501c3) entity that provides the City of Saluda Board of Commissioners information from the community on their needs and desires for the public space known as McCreery Park and its buildings, equipment, and structures.
The organization is made up of volunteers, who donate time to raise funds, plant vegetative material , provide seminars, and educate the community about the park, and the maintenance, infrastructure, and organic needs of the park.
Members of the Friends listen to other community organizations and residents about their desires, ideas, concerns; consolidating those into action items for the Board of Commissioners to review and make decisions upon. They also provide guidance on trends in the outdoor recreation industry, park facility designs, and future planning needs as the community grows.
